Anabezi Camp combines a prime location with a relaxed, well-run camp that makes it easy to enjoy everything the Lower Zambezi has to offer.
We really like Anabezi Camp for its location more than anything else. It sits on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Lower Zambezi National Park, an area known for its excellent game viewing and variety of safari activities. The camp overlooks a permanent water source, so there’s often a steady flow of wildlife moving through, especially elephants, buffalo and plains game.
The camp itself is spacious and comfortable without feeling overdone. It strikes a good balance between a classic safari feel and a slightly more polished finish. The guiding here is strong, and the ability to mix game drives with walking safaris, boat trips and canoeing makes this a really well-rounded stop on a Zambia itinerary.
EnquireThe tents at Anabezi are large and open, each with its own private deck overlooking the Zambezi or the surrounding floodplains. They’re well spaced out, so you still feel a sense of privacy and connection to the bush.
Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, and a comfortable seating area to relax during the heat of the day. The design is simple and natural, keeping the focus on the setting rather than anything overly elaborate.
EnquireOne of the things that makes Anabezi stand out is the range of activities available. Game drives are excellent here, with good chances of seeing elephants, lions, leopards and large herds of buffalo.
You can also explore the Zambezi by boat or canoe, which gives a completely different perspective on the wildlife and landscape. Walking safaris are another highlight, offering a slower, more immersive way to experience the bush.
Fishing, birding and relaxed time in camp watching animals come down to the river all add to the experience. It’s the kind of place where you can do as much or as little as you like, depending on your pace.
