Desert Breeze is a great stopover for us – simple, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring this part of Namibia
Desert Breeze is one of those places that works really well as a stop between Namibia’s more remote safari destinations. Set just outside Swakopmund, it offers a quiet and comfortable base while still being close enough to town to explore the coast, restaurants, and activities.
We really like the setting here. The property looks out over open desert towards the dunes, and it feels peaceful and spacious without being too far removed from everything. It’s a nice contrast after time spent travelling through more rugged areas.
It’s not a traditional safari camp, but it fits nicely into a Namibia itinerary. Whether you're heading to the Skeleton Coast, Sossusvlei, or Damaraland, this is an easy and आराम place to pause for a couple of nights.
EnquireThe rooms at Desert Breeze are more like small bungalows, each with plenty of space and large windows that make the most of the desert views. They’re clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Each unit has an en-suite bathroom and a निजी outdoor seating area, which we think is a nice touch – especially in the mornings or evenings when the light over the desert is at its best. It’s simple, but done very well.
EnquireStaying at Desert Breeze puts you in a great position to explore Swakopmund and the surrounding area. There’s a wide range of activities available, from guided desert tours and sandboarding to boat trips along the coast.
Excursions into the nearby dunes are a highlight, where you can learn more about the unique desert ecosystem and spot some of the smaller wildlife adapted to this environment.
You can also spend time in Swakopmund itself, which has a relaxed seaside feel, with good restaurants, cafes, and shops. It’s a nice change of pace within a Namibia itinerary, and easy to tailor depending on how active or relaxed you’d like to be.
