Why visit Lake Naivasha & Lake Nakuru?

Lake Naivasha

The lake serves as a haven for birdwatchers, boasting a diverse population of over 400 bird species. One of the best ways to experience Lake Naivasha is by embarking on a boat journey from the shore, with snorting hippo pods as companions, leads you to Crescent Island. Remarkably, this island hosts more wildlife per acre than any other park in Kenya, owing to its absence of natural predators.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Rising from the depths of the Great Rift Valley and surrounded by rugged cliffs, lush green forests, and waterfalls, behold Lake Nakuru. The park hosts an array of wildlife, and is well-known for its large population of black and white rhinos. Lions roam freely, while the northern section of the lake is home to lively pods of hippo.

Birdwatchers paradise

Both Lakes are home to approximately 450 bird species. Lake Nakuru takes pride to be the first national park listed as an Important Bird Area (IBA) and an Endemic Bird Area (EBA) because it’s a home to hundreds of birds including the migrants, it hosts some endemic bird species and is a habitat for lesser flamingoes species.
