Set in the same quiet corner of the Masai Mara, Little Enkewa offers a more exclusive feel, ideal for families or small groups wanting their own space.
Little Enkewa takes everything we love about Enkewa and makes it even more private, with a flexible and tailored safari experience
Little Enkewa Camp is the private sister camp to Enkewa, and one we really like for families or small groups looking for something a bit more exclusive. It’s set in the same remote area near the Sand River and the Tanzanian border, so you still get that feeling of being far away from the busier parts of the Mara.
The big difference here is the flexibility. With a smaller setup, often booked privately, everything can be shaped around your group, from game drive timings to meals and activities. You’ll still have access to the same excellent guiding team as Enkewa, many of whom grew up in the area and know it incredibly well.
It’s a simple, relaxed camp with a strong focus on the overall experience rather than luxury, and that’s exactly why we like it.
EnquireThe tents at Little Enkewa are beautifully designed, with your own private deck and outdoor shower. Each tent is fully insect-proof and comes with an en-suite bathroom, flushing toilet.
The camp runs on solar power, keeping things quiet and in line with its eco-friendly approach. It’s a very natural setup that feels authentic to the environment, while still offering everything you need for a comfortable stay.
EnquireOne of the main highlights of Little Enkewa is the flexibility. With a more private setup, your days can be tailored entirely around what you feel like doing, whether that’s early morning drives, full days out in the bush, or a slower pace back at camp.
Game drives take place in quieter areas of the Mara, where you’ll often have sightings to yourselves. Bush breakfasts, picnic lunches, and sundowners are all part of the experience.
There’s also the option to visit local Maasai communities, offering a more personal insight into the culture and way of life in the area. Hot air balloon safaris can also be arranged if you’re looking for something extra.
