Experience Kenya Through Its Farms, Food & Wildlife

Go beyond the traditional safari and discover Kenya through its farms, food, landscapes and wildlife.

Led by George Chapman of Ololo Farming Company, our Kenya agricultural safaris are designed for farmers, agribusiness professionals and travellers with a genuine interest in agriculture.

George Chapman has a background in agribusiness, regenerative agriculture and sustainable food systems. He holds a Bachelor of Agribusiness from the University of Queensland and a Master’s in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security from the Royal Agricultural University in the UK.

George also brings hands-on experience as a regenerative farmer, having established Ololo Farming Company and helped develop it into a leading Kenyan food brand. Based on the edge of Nairobi National Park, the farm produces a growing range of locally made products while applying regenerative and circular farming practices across its livestock and food production systems.

This combination of practical farming experience and formal training in agribusiness and sustainable agriculture gives George a strong understanding of both the commercial and environmental challenges facing agriculture today.

Beginning at Ololo Safari Lodge & Farm, on the edge of Nairobi National Park, itineraries can combine visits to commercial farms, livestock enterprises, horticultural producers, dairies, regenerative farms and agribusinesses with some of Kenya’s best wildlife and conservation experiences.

One of the most fascinating aspects of farming in Kenya is the relationship between agriculture and wildlife conservation. In regions such as Laikipia, working ranches and conservancies offer the opportunity to explore how livestock, wildlife and healthy rangelands can coexist. Guests can learn about holistic grazing, regenerative rangeland management and conservation-focused farming in landscapes shared with some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife.

Every agricultural safari can be tailored to your particular agricultural interests. Whether your focus is livestock, horticulture, dairy, regenerative agriculture, commercial farming, agribusiness or conservation, we can build farm visits and experiences around what your group most wants to see and learn.

Journeys can take you from Nairobi and Ololo Farm to the commercial farms and conservancies of Laikipia and the agricultural region surrounding Lake Naivasha, while incorporating game drives, local food, conservation experiences and time to simply enjoy Kenya.

Part agricultural study tour, part Kenyan safari and an opportunity to experience a side of Kenya few visitors ever see.

No two agricultural safaris need to be the same. Share your farming background and interests with us at george@ololofarm.com, and we can develop an itinerary tailored to your group, from livestock and regenerative grazing to horticulture, dairy, agribusiness and conservation.
